Shipping Carrier Management in Anchanto OMS is the module that helps sellers manage how orders are shipped to customers. It allows sellers to connect and configure different types of shipping carriers—whether they come from e-commerce marketplaces, third-party logistics (3PL) providers, or the seller’s own delivery fleet.
This module is essential for:
- Automatically assigning carriers to orders,
- Generating shipping labels,
- Updating tracking numbers to marketplaces,
- Ensuring smooth order fulfillment.
It is used whenever a new sales channel is added, when a seller wants to change or customize shipping partners, or when they need to handle deliveries through their own fleet. The setup varies depending on whether the carrier is already integrated with the marketplace, integrated directly with Anchanto OMS, or completely custom (such as for offline stores or self-delivery). Additionally, the module supports advanced features like AWB tracking series for non-integrated carriers and carrier rule automation, which helps in automatically selecting the right carrier based on conditions like delivery location, weight, SKU, or order value.
In short, it ensures that every order is assigned the right shipping method with minimal manual effort, helping sellers scale and optimize their logistics operations efficiently.
| This feature is used by e-commerce businesses, omnichannel retailers, and brands with their own delivery fleets who need to manage multiple shipping partners, automate shipping assignments, and streamline order fulfillment across channels. |
Common Use Cases
- Syncing Marketplace-Integrated Carriers Automatically
When orders are fetched from e-commerce marketplaces (e.g., Lazada, Shopee), the shipping carriers used are synchronized automatically and managed through this module.
- Adding Non-Synced or Historical Carriers Manually
For older orders or carriers not synchronized during marketplace integration, users can manually set them up.
- Connecting Seller’s Own Delivery Fleet (Self-Delivery)
Businesses using their own drivers or logistics teams can configure their fleet via the Own Fleet or OMS Integrated 3PL setup.
- Automating Shipping Label Generation and Tracking Updates
Integrated carriers can automatically receive order details, print labels, and update tracking numbers across channels.
- Setting Up Carrier Rules for Auto-Assignment
Businesses can automate carrier assignments based on order parameters like country, zip code, SKU, weight, order value, etc.
- Managing Tracking Numbers for Non-Integrated Carriers
Through AWB tracking series, users can upload tracking number ranges and assign them to shipping methods.
- Using Customized Shipping Documents
If businesses design their own shipping labels or invoices, they can associate them with specific carriers via this module.
When to Not Use Shipping Carrier Management
-
Orders Already Assigned a Carrier by the Marketplace
If the sales channel has already assigned a carrier, manual carrier assignment or rules should not override it. -
When Using Fulfilled-by-Marketplace (FBM/Fulfilled by Lazada, etc.) Models
These models handle shipping independently; hence, OMS shipping setup is redundant. -
For Marketplace-Managed Logistics without Customization Needs
If you are only using marketplace defaults and do not need to customize or track logistics, managing carriers in OMS may not be necessary. -
When All Deliveries Are Handled Offline without OMS Integration
If a seller fully handles logistics outside of OMS (e.g., walk-in pickups or external ERP-managed shipping), this module is not required.
| This feature is available based on configuration. Please reach out to Anchanto to get this activated. |

- Marketplace Integrated Carrier – if the carrier is provided by the sales channel.
- Anchanto OMS Integrated Carrier – if the carrier is integrated with OMS (e.g., your own 3PL).
- Own Fleet / WMS Integrated Carrier – if using your own delivery fleet or warehouse carrier.
-
OMS Integrated 3PL – if connecting a 3PL partner with OMS.
Use Case 1: Marketplace integrated carrier
A Marketplace Integrated Carrier is a shipping provider that is already connected to your e-commerce platform (like Lazada, Shopee, etc.).
- You might need to ask the marketplace to activate the carrier you want to use.
- When an order is synced to Anchanto OMS, the assigned carrier details are automatically pulled in—no manual setup needed.
- These carriers will appear under Shipping Carriers Management > Shipping Method in OMS.
- Manual setup is only needed for older orders where carrier info was not synced.
- To avoid selecting a carrier manually for such orders, make sure at least one carrier is marked as "Default" in OMS.
This setup helps ensure smooth and automated order processing with the right carrier.
Steps to add marketplace integrated carrier:
- Select the radio button Marketplace integrated carrier
- Select the sales channel from the dropdown list
-
Select the carrier from the dropdown list. User can create new carrier name if the name does not appear from the dropdown list

- For a WMS integrated OMS account, the user is required to fill in the WMS Carrier Code. By entering the WMS carrier code, OMS will map multiple carrier names to one shipping method for WMS. This is no avoid multiple shipping method information on WMS side
For example: Both shipping methods free shipping and free shipping below 10kg are both fulfilled by FedEx in WMS, then input the FedEx carrier code as 'FedShp001’ to map both shipping methods to FedEx.
- If the user has configured the custom shipping label and invoice in Document Designer, those designed documents can be selected under Automation – customer shipping label and custom invoice. Please note this functionality will only support those carriers for which the seller has configured the document pattern as designed in 'Document Designer' and Shipping label is not fetched from carrier.
- Select 'Default ' option to fulfil all orders for this sales channel via the above carrier only. Also 'apply for return' suggest that if returns are supported, will this carrier support the return pickup. If yes, then select the check box.
- Click on 'Create Carrier' to complete.

Carrier Rule (Optional & applicable if user wants to auto assign the carrier to the order)
When users (sellers) integrate Anchanto Order Management with their offline stores, they may wish the system to automatically assign the carrier to qualified orders from sales channels. Alternatively, if a seller uses their own integrated carriers for ecommerce channels, they may wish Anchanto Order Management to automatically allocate shipping carriers to orders.
In such cases, carrier rule management is the feature which allows users to create different carrier rules based on certain conditions to auto assign the carrier to qualified orders.
The conditions to set the rule include off: delivery country, delivery zip code, estimated weight, order value, specific product, product storage type, shipping service type, and the product quantity in the order
Note:
- Carrier rules are only applied to orders without a pre-assigned carrier from the sales channel.
- Orders with marketplace-assigned shipping methods are exempt from defined carrier rules. Anchanto OMS will automatically display the shipping method received from the marketplace.

- The user cannot apply the same rule to two different shipping methods of the same sales channel.
- A single carrier rule cannot be applied across multiple stores.

- Select the first rule condition: Item Weight
- Set Min: 0 Kg, Max: 1 Kg
- Add a second rule condition: Item Quantity
- Set Min: 0, Max: 10
- Choose the Shipping Method for each store.
- Add multiple stores if needed:
