Configuring Packing List Layouts and Document Fields in Anchanto Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)

Anchanto Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) provides customizable packing list templates designed to match diverse warehouse operations and specific client requirements. Warehouse teams can dynamically adapt document names, layout orientations, and line-item details to streamline order verification, carrier coordination, and compliance tracking.

Prerequisites:

•  User Role Permission: Access to configure templates is restricted to Warehouse Admin roles.
•  Customer Profile Selection: Configuration changes are applied at an individual customer account level within the system.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Accessing the Customer Settings

1. Go to the primary module menu on the sidebar → Click Customers → Select Customers List from the expanded options to view all registered accounts. 

2. Go to the active customers grid → Click on the specific Customer's Name link → The interface opens the comprehensive customer management details page. 

Customizing the Packing List Template

3. Go to the top tab navigation bar → Click Settings → Scroll down to locate the dedicated Packing List Template panel. 

3. Go to the Document Name input field → Click the Edit (Pencil) icon → Type a customized name to fulfill warehouse or client-specific documentation standards (e.g., "Custom Packing Document").

   Note: If left unaltered, the system applies "Packing List" as the absolute baseline default name.

    

4. Go to the document checkboxes → Select the additional data fields required to display on the packing list layout:

   •  

     Carton Number: Activates carton-level tracking and immediate identification during shipment handling.

   •  

     UPC/EAN: Displays product barcoding identifiers to facilitate accurate SKU verification.

   •  

     Size: Adds physical dimensions of items directly onto the document lines.

   •  

     CBM: Renders the total Cubic Meters volume metric for the logistics and dispatch teams.

   •  

     Expected Gross Weight: Incorporates the predefined gross weight calculation for carrier allocation.

   •  

     Actual Weight: Includes the captured physical weight values recorded during the processing stage.

   •  

     Serial / IMEI Number: Appends unique device or product serial identifiers to reinforce traceability requirements.

5. Go to the Orientation dropdown selector → Click Portrait or Landscape → Sets the hardcoded print layout orientation for the generated document asset. 

6. Go to the system execution flow → Process an order through the fulfillment pipeline → The platform dynamically generates, structures, and outputs the packing list utilizing the selected data fields, layout name, and chosen print orientation.
