The dashboard drilldown capabilities in Parcel Tracking convert high-level Business Dashboard insights into an actionable operational workspace. Users can click supported KPI values, chart segments, country metrics, critical-order definitions, and exception categories to navigate directly to the Order Tracking Grid with automatically applied filters. This preserves the relevant date context and tenant rules to enable a seamless View → Investigate → Act workflow across all operations, customer service, carrier management, and analytics teams.
Prerequisites for Success:
Active user access permissions for Parcel Tracking.
Tenant, subsidiary, customer, or retailer access rights, as all drilldown results respect existing role permissions and shipment visibility rules.
A selected export date range within 30 days when attempting to download report files.
Navigation & Core Behaviors
The system applies specific dynamic filter mappings and contextual behaviors depending on the dashboard component selected:
Date Context Preservation: The selected date range, applicable date type, tenant context, and authorized business context carry forward automatically into the Order Tracking Grid.
Parcels by Country Default Sorting: The Destination Countries grid automatically sorts countries by outbound shipment volume in descending order. Countries with zero, unavailable, or null outbound volumes appear at the bottom. Sorting recalculates upon changing date ranges, adjusting tenant/subsidiary filters, refreshing the dashboard, or applying map interactions.
Expired Shipment Logic: Expired shipments represent parcels where the current date is later than the Estimated Delivery Date and the shipment has not been delivered.
Multi-Status Mappings:
Returns Metric / KPI: Applies a multi-status filter covering
Return Initiated,Return Picked Up,Return in Transit, andReturned.Outbound Metric: Includes shipments in
Order Created,Ready to Dispatch,In Delivery, andOut for Deliverystages.
Empty-State Handling: If a drilldown produces zero matching shipments, the Order Tracking Grid displays a clear empty-state message (e.g., No records found for the selected filters). Non-clickable metrics or "No data available" responses apply to components with no data.
Drilling Down from Delivery Status Analysis
Go to [Parcel Tracking Business Dashboard] → Click [Delivery Status Analysis] → View high-level delivery status KPIs.
Click [Supported KPI Value] (Select
Pending,Order Created,Ready to Dispatch,In Delivery,Out for Delivery,Delivered,Exception,Expired, orReturns) → System opens the Order Tracking Grid with the corresponding shipment-status filter and date context automatically applied.Review or export the matching shipment records based on your access permissions.
Drilling Down from Parcels by Country

Click [Destination Country Name] or [Specific Country Metric] (Select an
Outbound,Delivered,Return, orExceptioncount for a specific country, such asFrance→Delivered) → System opens the Order Tracking Grid applying Destination Country = Selected Country along with the relevant shipment-status filter.
Drilling Down from Monthly Shipment Volume
Go to [Parcel Tracking Business Dashboard] → Click [Total Shipments Volume by Status] → View monthly status breakdown charts.
Click [Status Bar Segment or Monthly Bar] → System opens the Order Tracking Grid applying the selected shipment status, the full date range for the selected month (including leap-year handling), and the dashboard's date type.
Drilling Down from Carrier or Country Performance
Go to [Parcel Tracking Business Dashboard] → Click [Carrier Performance Analysis or Country Performance] → View performance indicators and service rates.
Click [Status Segment] next to a specific carrier or destination country (e.g.,
DHL→DeliveredorFrance→In Delivery) → System opens the Order Tracking Grid filtered by the selected carrier/destination, status, and retained date range.
Investigating Critical Orders
Go to [Parcel Tracking Business Dashboard] → Click [Critical Order Analysis / Critical and Exceptional Parcel Analysis] → View critical order definitions such as No tracking update within defined period, Carrier delay, Shipment stuck in customs, Return risk, or Missing carrier event.

Click [Export Icon] → System downloads the enhanced exception report file containing event-level context.
Checking Dashboard Data Freshness
Go to [Parcel Tracking Business Dashboard] → Navigate to [Supported Component Header] → Locate the Last Updated timestamp displayed near the component title.
Review [Timestamp Value] → Confirm the exact date, time, and timezone of the most recent successful data refresh.

| Country Analysis | Country and metric-level shipment drilldowns | Summary-level country visibility only |
| Carrier Analysis | Shipment-level carrier investigation | Aggregated performance charts only |
| Critical Orders | Direct access to shipments matching specific definitions | Summary view of critical conditions |
| Exception Analysis | Direct drilldown to parcels experiencing specific delivery issues | Aggregated exception visibility only |
| Country Prioritization | Default sort by highest outbound volume descending | Non-prioritized country list |
| Exception Export Context | Includes
| Limited event context in export files |
| Export Availability Guidance | Explicit notification ("Download is only available for the last 30 days") | Export limitations not communicated |
| Data Freshness Visibility | Component-level | Data refresh time not visible |
Troubleshooting & Common Issues
| If the system shows this error | Follow these steps to fix it |
| Export button is disabled or un-clickable | Verify the selected date range on the dashboard. Hover over the export control to check availability; exports are restricted to date ranges within the last 30 days. Reduce your date filter range to 30 days or less. |
| Grid displays "No records found for the selected filters" | This empty state indicates that no active shipments currently match the exact combination of date range, country, carrier, or status drilldown selected. Adjust your global dashboard date range or verify if events have occurred within that timeframe. |
| Export cell displays blank or "NA" under Latest Harmonized Code or Raw Event Description | This indicates that specific mapped harmonized codes or raw event descriptions were not provided by the carrier or source system for that shipment event. Core export fields remain unaffected. |
| Expected shipments missing from drill-down results | Verify your tenant, subsidiary, customer, or role permissions. System security rules restrict drilldown grid results to records within your authorized business context. |
| Transit Time Distribution drill-down does not open the Order Tracking Grid | Transit Time Distribution drilldown to the shipment grid is unsupported. Access Average Transit Time data via standard dashboard displays or report downloads. |
