Create an LPN Container in Anchanto WMS

Overview

The LPN Container Master holds the approved container types (such as pallets, boxes, totes and cartons) that can be assigned to an LPN. Every LPN, whether created manually or generated by the system during operations, uses a container from this master. This keeps container usage standardized and makes capacity validation accurate.

Prerequisites for Success

• LPN Management must be enabled at Warehouse level.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Go to Warehouse Master → Click LPN Container Master → The container configuration screen opens. 
2. Go to LPN Container Master → Click Create LPN Container → The Create LPN Container form opens.
3. Go to Create LPN Container → Enter all required container details (type, dimensions, weight capacity, etc.) and click Create Container → The container is saved and displayed in the grid. 

The container supports these details:

• Container Type, such as Pallet, Box, Tote or Carton.
• Dimensions in Length × Width × Height.
• Maximum Capacity for load validation.
• Storage Type, to ensure compatibility with storage requirements.
• Reusable, which sets whether the LPN can be reused.

Important Notes & Limitations

• Container mapping is mandatory during LPN creation.
• If the container is skipped during LPN creation, the system assigns a default container.
