Generate a New LPN During Receiving in Anchanto WMS

Overview

If you don't have an existing LPN to hand, you can create one directly on the receiving screen. You assign it a container, link it to a Parent LPN, and print its barcode, all without leaving the flow.

Prerequisites

• LPN enabled for the warehouse and customer (see 1.1 and 1.2).
• A GRN in the Receiving stage.
• Parent–Child mapping requires the hierarchy config to be enabled at Warehouse level.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Go to Inbound → Goods Received (GRN) → Click Receive, then scan the SKU → The SKU is ready for LPN mapping.
2. Go to Scan LPN → Click Generate New LPN → The system creates a new LPN.
3. Go to the container prompt → Select or scan the Container Type → The container is assigned to the LPN.
4. Go to the Parent mapping popup → Follow the same Parent LPN mapping flow as in 1.8 → The mapping is completed.
5. Go to the print barcode prompt → Select the barcode type and proceed → The barcode is printed. 

Important Notes & Limitations

• A container must be assigned during LPN creation. If this is skipped, the system assigns a default container.
