Overview
During picking, the system assigns Storage LPNs to pick from, based on your configuration. You pick the stock into an Outbound LPN (or Pick Bin), which becomes the picked handling unit that goes on to packing.
Prerequisites
- Orders assigned to a picker.
- Inventory stored in Storage LPNs.
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Go to Order → Picker Assigned → Select the picking type (Pick Pool, Normal Order or Bulk Picking) and click Start Picking → The pick task starts.
- Go to the pick screen → Scan or enter the Storage LPN → The system fetches the SKUs available in that LPN.
- Go to the pick screen → If SKU scanning is enabled, scan the SKU → Quantity increases on each scan. How the quantity is then confirmed depends on your warehouse setting:
- If Mandatory Counting is enabled, confirm or enter the quantity manually.
- If Mandatory Counting is disabled, quantity auto-increments on scan.
- Go to the pick screen → If SKU scanning is disabled, scan the Storage LPN only → The system automatically picks the mapped SKU quantity on PDA. On Web, all SKUs belonging to the same LPN are picked.
- Go to the pick screen → Scan the Outbound LPN → The picked quantity is mapped to this Outbound LPN.
- Go to the next pick task → Repeat for all SKUs → The inventory moves into the Outbound LPN and is ready for Packing.
Important Notes & Limitations
- Bulk Picking: Storage LPN picking is supported, but Outbound LPN is not supported.
