Overview
LPN Relocation moves an entire LPN, such as a pallet, carton or bin, to a new location as one handling unit. The container stays intact, so there's no need to relocate stock SKU by SKU.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Create the relocation task
- Go to Stock Transfer / LPN Relocation → Click Create New Stock Transfer → The Create New Stock Transfer form opens.
- Go to Select Stock Transfer Type → Select LPN Relocation, then select the Company and the From Location→ LPNs at that location are listed.
- Go to All LPN List → Search for and tick the LPN to move, using Show Child LPN's when you need to see Child LPNs → The LPN is selected.
- Go to the form → Click Create Stock Transfer → The relocation task is created.
Execute the relocation
- Go to the assigned relocation task → Scan the Source Location when requested → The source is confirmed.
- Go to the task → Scan the LPN to be moved, then the Destination Location → Any location or capacity validation is displayed.
- Go to the task → Click Confirm → The move is completed.
Important Notes & Limitations
- Moving a Parent LPN moves its Child LPNs with it.
- A Child LPN may be moved separately, or re-parented to another valid Parent.
- A Parent LPN cannot be placed under another Parent.
- Locked LPNs cannot be relocated.
- The system records the source, destination, LPN references, SKU quantity, user and timestamp.
Troubleshooting & Common Errors

| Capacity exceeded | WMS blocks confirmation until the LPN, container or quantity is corrected. |
| Company / SKU / Category / Brand mismatch | WMS blocks the inventory addition. Resolution: Not covered in source — needs SME input. |
| Incomplete Stock Take | WMS does not allow completion. Count or resolve every selected LPN and SKU. |
